Taking Action

Following the death of his father, Justin Stanton refused to be a passive bystander to such a devastating disease and immediately sprung into action. He formed two planning committees, one comprised of local business leaders and politicians, including US Congressman Charlie Bass, to help solicit corporate sponsorship. A second committee was formed with Justin's fellow high school students to help publicize the Kenneth Stanton Walk for Cancer, and attract walk participants. Since the founding of the Kenneth Stanton Fund, more than $65,000 has been earmarked for osteosarcoma research at Massachusetts General Hospital.
